Tehran-Washington Talks on Agreement to Be Held in Switzerland

US Vice President JD Vance arrived in Switzerland on Sunday (June 21) for talks on the implementation of the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding signed between the United States and Iran. He departed Washington for Switzerland on Saturday (June 20). Iranian representatives had already arrived in the country ahead of the meeting.

According to Iran's state broadcaster, the Iranian negotiating team reached Zurich on Saturday ahead of the discussions.

Meanwhile, a report by Al Jazeera Media Network said that Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the country's Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, are also travelling to Switzerland to participate as mediators in the talks.

Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said that Qatar will also take part in the discussions. Islamabad further stated that it would continue its support and cooperation in implementing the understanding reached between Iran and the United States.
