Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will leave Dhaka for Kuala Lumpur at 3:00 pm on Sunday (June 21) on his first official state visit to Malaysia.
On Monday (June 22), the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold talks with Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. The discussions are expected to focus on labour market cooperation, Bangladesh's bid for ASEAN membership, and a proposed free trade agreement. Several agreements may also be signed during the visit.

China Visit
On Tuesday (June 23), Rahman will travel directly from Malaysia to Dalian, China, to attend the 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2026, also known as the Summer Davos Forum, organized by the World Economic Forum. He is also expected to hold meetings with several world leaders on the sidelines of the event.
On Wednesday, the Prime Minister will hold a bilateral meeting with the Chinese premier. A total of 17 agreements, including 13 memorandums of understanding, are expected to be signed during the bilateral visit.
On June 26, Rahman is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping. He is expected to return to Bangladesh later that night following the conclusion of his visit.
