U.S. President Donald Trump has said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will have no choice but to accept whatever agreement the United States reaches with Iran, stressing that the final decisions rest with him.
In a telephone interview with the Financial Times, Trump stated that regardless of the nature of a future U.S.-Iran agreement, Israel would be expected to abide by it. “I make the final decisions. Netanyahu is not the one making those decisions,” he said.
Trump also noted that ongoing negotiations between Washington and Tehran would not be affected even if Iran were to launch new attacks. “Let’s see what happens in the end,” he remarked.

U.S. media outlets have recently highlighted growing disagreements between Trump and Netanyahu over Iran policy. Reports have even suggested that during a heated phone conversation last week, Trump sharply criticized the Israeli leader.
Trump further said that one of the key conditions of the U.S.-Iran ceasefire arrangement was a halt to attacks not only on Iran but also on Iran’s allies across the Middle East. However, he claimed that continued military actions in Lebanon have undermined the ceasefire and complicated broader efforts to sustain negotiations with Iran.
