A court has rejected a petition seeking a case against former Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus and four others over alleged failures in measles treatment and child deaths.
On Monday (June 8), the court of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Jashita Islam in Dhaka dismissed the petition.
Earlier in the day, independent lawmaker from Kishoreganj-5, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Iqbal, filed the petition with the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court in Dhaka.

Besides Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the petition named former Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum, former Health Secretary Saidur Rahman, Dr. Yunus's then Special Assistant Dr. Sayedur Rahman, and former Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services Dr. Abu Jafar as accused.
