Bangladesh-origin footballer Cavan Sullivan has made history in Major League Soccer (MLS). The 16-year-old forward scored or assisted in four consecutive matches, becoming the first player of his age to achieve the feat in MLS.
Sullivan scored in the 50th minute as Philadelphia Union beat New York Red Bulls 3-1 on Saturday (August 29) night. It was his third goal of the season and his second consecutive match with a goal.
According to Fox Sports, Sullivan is the first 16-year-old in MLS history to contribute a goal or assist in four straight matches. Overall, he is only the third player aged 18 or under in league history to achieve the feat.
Milan Iloski and Neil Pierre also scored for Philadelphia, while Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting scored the only goal for New York Red Bulls.
