More than 600 tourists remain missing in Nepal following devastating floods and landslides along the Bhotekoshi River near the Nepal-China border. Nepal Tourism Board said 178 of those missing are Indian tourists.
Board spokesperson Sunil Sharma told the BBC that the missing tourists also include 127 Nepalis, 53 Ukrainians, 51 Malaysians, 65 Americans, 35 Australians and 33 British nationals.
Nepal Tourism Police Deputy Superintendent Bishwaraj Adhikari said authorities are still collecting information from tour operators about tourists who had travelled to the affected area.
The disaster-hit region is a popular route to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar, a major Hindu pilgrimage destination in Tibet. It is also a popular area for Langtang trekking.
Rescue teams are continuing their search for the missing tourists.
