Salah Scores Twice on Debut to Lead New Club to Victory

Mohamed Salah scored twice on his debut for Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor, helping them beat Istanbul Basaksehir 2-1 on Sunday (August 23).

Salah opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a powerful finish after the Basaksehir goalkeeper failed to hold the ball. Eldor Shomurodov equalized from the penalty spot before halftime.

Just three minutes into the second half, Salah restored Trabzonspor’s lead. He combined with Ernest Muci before calmly finishing for his second goal.

The Egyptian star joined Trabzonspor on a free transfer after ending his nine-year spell with Liverpool.

Trabzonspor will face Ferencvaros in the second leg of the Europa League playoff on Thursday.
