Monem Resigns as PSC Chairman

Professor Mobasher Monem has resigned from his position as Chairman of the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC). His resignation was confirmed on Tuesday (August 18).

Reports of his possible resignation had been circulating since Tuesday morning before the matter was confirmed.

After the interim government took office following the mass uprising on August 5, 2024, then-PSC Chairman Md Sohorab Hossain and 12 PSC members resigned. Later, Professor Mobasher Monem of the Department of Public Administration at the University of Dhaka was appointed PSC Chairman.
