Kangana Mocks Naseeruddin as a ‘Jackal’

A fresh controversy has erupted in Bollywood following remarks by veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah. Actress and parliamentarian Kangana Ranaut has now joined the debate, directly mocking Shah by calling him a “jackal.”

Naseeruddin Shah recently criticized several Bollywood actors for remaining silent during student protests. His comments drew a response from actor-singer Piyush Mishra. Kangana has now spoken in support of Mishra and criticized Naseeruddin Shah.

Kangana said everyone is, in some way, someone’s “dog.” However, she said she is proud to fight for and protect the country where she earns her living. Referring to Naseeruddin Shah, she claimed that although he earns money in India, his alleged fight is for a neighboring country.

Kangana further said that being called a “dog” can sometimes be considered a compliment because loyalty and honesty are not found in everyone. She added that she would rather be a “dog” than a “jackal” like Naseeruddin Shah.

Her remarks have intensified the ongoing controversy in Bollywood.
