‘RAW’ Chief Parag Jain Arrives in Dhaka After China Visit

India’s external intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing, or RAW, chief Parag Jain has arrived in Dhaka on an official visit after completing a trip to China. His visit comes amid efforts by Bangladesh and India to normalize relations.

According to a government source, Parag Jain is leading a four-member high-level delegation at the invitation of relevant Bangladeshi authorities. However, neither Bangladesh nor India has officially disclosed details of the visit.

The delegation includes Ashwin Mukund Kotnis, Rahul Negi and Shaibal Roy Chowdhury. They arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on an Air India flight on Sunday afternoon.

The delegation is expected to stay at a hotel in Dhaka during the visit. Parag Jain serves as Secretary of RAW and also holds the position of Special Secretary at the Special Protection Group. His visit to Bangladesh follows his recent trip to China.
