Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said a group is actively working to destabilise the country’s energy sector. He made the remarks at the 37th founding anniversary of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) at the LD Hall premises of the National Parliament on Saturday (August 8).
He said many people are currently suffering due to problems with electricity and gas, which the government has never denied. According to him, the energy sector is facing a crisis due to unplanned policies and decisions taken in the past to benefit certain groups.
The prime minister said the government has already started working to overcome the crisis by restructuring the energy sector through proper planning and gradually bringing relief to the people.
