Raunak Ripon Stuns as Villain in Shekor

After earning recognition for his work as both an actor and director, Raunak Ripon is set to surprise audiences with a completely different on-screen persona. In the much-talked-about film Shekor, he takes on a negative role for the first time in his career.

The film is scheduled for nationwide release on Friday (July 31). The makers believe its compelling storyline and diverse characters will make it one of the most anticipated releases of the season.

Speaking about his role, Ripon said that although he is usually known for portraying positive characters, Shekor offered him a unique opportunity to explore a darker side. He plays a gang leader, a character with multiple layers and psychological complexity.

"As an actor, I always look for opportunities to break out of my comfort zone. This role challenged me in a completely new way, and I hope audiences will embrace this different version of me," he said.

The film also stars F.S. Nayeem, Ayesha Khan, Dilara Zaman, Somu Chowdhury, Nafis Ahmed, and Sangeeta Chowdhury, among others.

With audiences increasingly welcoming fresh portrayals of antagonists in Bangladeshi cinema, Shekor is expected to introduce Raunak Ripon in a striking new light.
