Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has said the July uprising does not belong to any political party or individual, stressing that people from all walks of life took to the streets, setting aside political differences, and their sacrifice must be respected.
Speaking at the July National Conference at the China Friendship International Conference Center in Dhaka on Saturday (July 4), he said those responsible for the killings during the mass uprising would be brought to justice under the country's legal process, even if it takes time.

The prime minister said his government is committed to building a state where every citizen enjoys equal rights, dignity and security.
He also emphasized that no nation can move forward while remaining divided and called on all citizens to unite in building a peaceful, democratic and prosperous Bangladesh.
