Home Minister Urges Against Exploiting July Spirit

Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed has urged political groups and businesses not to exploit the spirit of July for personal or political gain.

Speaking as the chief guest at the July National Conference held at the China Friendship International Conference Center in the capital on Saturday (July 4), he said the spirit of July should not be turned into a commercial enterprise. He stressed that exploiting any national spirit for business or political interests does not bring positive outcomes and called on everyone to preserve its true values.

Warning about alleged conspiracies by the former authoritarian regime, Salahuddin Ahmed claimed that those who lost power are orchestrating various plots against Bangladesh's democratic government from abroad. He also said the Awami League would soon face trial as a political party.
