Thousands of Iranians gathered to mourn and pay their final respects to Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, chanting slogans calling for revenge and the destruction of America. The scenes unfolded during the official farewell ceremony in the Iranian capital, Tehran, where the area was transformed into a vast sea of mourners.

The official mourning and farewell ceremony began outside Tehran's Grand Mosalla on Saturday (July 4).

Dressed in black, thousands of people filled the streets, waving Iranian flags and various banners. Large crowds were also seen carrying red banners, widely regarded as a symbol of calls for revenge.
