PM Calls for Promoting Nazrul's Works at Home and Abroad

Prime Minister Tareque Rahman has called for greater efforts to promote the literary and cultural works of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam both across Bangladesh and internationally.

Speaking at the inauguration of the year-long Nazrul Barsha celebrations for all 64 districts at the Prime Minister's Office in the Secretariat on Thursday (July 2), the prime minister said Nazrul's creations should be presented more extensively to both national and global audiences.

He also stressed the importance of making the celebrations meaningful through a wide range of programmes throughout the year. The prime minister said the observance should be successfully carried out across the country, with active participation from students in districts, upazilas, and educational institutions.
