Iran is prepared for both war and negotiations whenever necessary, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said, describing it as a key responsibility entrusted to the country’s diplomats and officials. The remarks were reported by Mehr News Agency.
Speaking at a memorial event in Tehran on Wednesday, May 20, held in honor of former foreign ministers Kamal Kharazi and Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Araghchi said Iran’s diplomatic efforts are fully aligned with the country’s broader national objectives.

He said that if diplomacy, dialogue, and negotiations are required to protect the interests of the Islamic Republic, Iran will participate from a position of strength — the same strength demonstrated by the country’s armed forces in defending the nation.
Araghchi also stated that American officials have acknowledged that Iranians achieved success in the “diplomatic war.” According to him, they also admitted that Iran’s embassies abroad had prevailed in the media and diplomatic battle.
