Iranian authorities organized a mass wedding ceremony for one thousand couples in the capital Tehran. According to a report by Al Jazeera, the event combined traditional wedding rituals with patriotic symbols and military displays.

In a report published on Tuesday May 19, the media outlet said the ceremony featured national flags, portraits and military vehicles instead of luxury limousines traditionally used in wedding processions.

A total of 110 couples were officially married at Imam حسین Square. As part of the celebrations, military vehicles were decorated with flowers and colorful balloons before being used as wedding cars for the newlyweds.
