Israeli Forces on Highest Alert Over Possible New Strike on Iran

The Israeli military has been placed on maximum alert amid fears of renewed attacks on Iran. Israeli media reported that Israel could join any new US military operation against Iran and may target the country’s energy infrastructure.

Israel’s state broadcaster Kan reported quoting a security official that the military has been ordered to remain on the highest level of preparedness over concerns of another possible confrontation with Iran.

On Sunday US President Donald Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for more than thirty minutes. The phone conversation reportedly focused on the possibility of renewed tensions involving Iran.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that international pressure is growing on the Trump administration to avoid another conflict with Iran. China has especially urged the United States to pursue a diplomatic solution instead of military action.
