Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus left Rome for Dhaka after attending the funeral of Pope Francis.
Chief Advisor's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said that the Chief Advisor left Rome, Italy, at around 1:30 pm Bangladesh time today (April 27).
The funeral of Pope Francis was held on Saturday. Professor Yunus also attended the Pope's funeral along with world leaders. Earlier, last Friday, the chief advisor went to Rome from Doha, Qatar.
The Chief Advisor met with top leaders of various countries in Rome. During this time, the Chief Advisor met with the top leader of the Vatican, the Foreign Minister of Uruguay, and Cardinal Prefect Cuvacade.
During the meeting, the Chief Advisor highlighted the importance of expanding trade and investment in Bangladesh. He also called for stronger economic cooperation between Dhaka and Mercosur member countries for the prosperity of both sides.
