Israel’s continued blockade and military assaults have pushed Gaza to the brink of famine. On Saturday (26 July), two more children died from malnutrition. The ongoing crisis has now claimed over 120 lives from starvation, including more than 80 children.

Since dawn on Saturday, fresh Israeli attacks have killed at least 30 people, among them 14 civilians who were seeking humanitarian aid.

Meanwhile, a former US soldier who had worked with the notorious GHF organisation in Gaza told the BBC he had personally witnessed war crimes. He described indiscriminate attacks on civilians waiting for food as clear violations of international law.

In response, leaders of Germany, France, and the United Kingdom have called on Israel to immediately lift restrictions on humanitarian assistance entering Gaza.

So far, Israeli attacks on Gaza have killed at least 59,733 people and injured 144,477. In contrast, the October 7, 2023, assault by Hamas resulted in the deaths of 1,139 people in Israel, with over 200 taken captive.
