Sustainable repatriation is the only solution to the Rohingya crisis: Dr. Younus

The only solution to the Rohingya crisis is sustainable repatriation. The Rohingya problem is not just a humanitarian problem. It is a multidimensional crisis, said Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government.
He said Bangladesh has sheltered about 1.3 million forcibly displaced Myanmar citizens (Rohingya). About 32,000 new arrivals are added every year. Despite various challenges and limitations, Bangladesh is sheltering this large population purely from a humanitarian perspective.
Bangladesh believes that the only solution to this crisis is sustainable repatriation.
He made these remarks while addressing a roundtable discussion on the Rohingya crisis and displaced populations organized by the Qatar Foundation in Doha on Wednesday (April 23).
