Muslims protest across India to repeal unconstitutional laws

Muslims in India have protested against the controversial Muslim Waqf Amendment Act. They held the protest in the southern city of Hyderabad, organized by the leading Muslim organization, the All India Muslim Personal Law Board.
In addition, Asaduddin Owaisi, the head of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party and an influential politician from Hyderabad, said that this law must be repealed as it is against the spirit of the Constitution.
This information was reported by TRT World in a report on Sunday (April 20).The media reported that the All India Muslim Personal Law Board, one of India's largest Muslim organizations, organized a massive protest in the southern Indian city of Hyderabad against the recent amendments to the Waqf Act.
Thousands of people took part in the event on Saturday. Dozens of petitions have already been filed in the Supreme Court against the new law.Indian Parliamentarian and All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi called the protest a "symbol of unity against the Waqf Amendment Act."
Owaisi said in his speech that until this law is withdrawn, peaceful protests will continue in different parts of the country. A/M
