Houthis Claim Downing Saudi F-15, Release Wreckage Video

Yemen’s Houthi rebels have claimed that they shot down a Saudi F-15 fighter jet over Marib using a locally manufactured air-to-air missile.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree said the aircraft was targeted during what he described as a “hostile operation.” The group also released video footage purportedly showing the attack and the burning wreckage of the aircraft.

The claim has not been independently verified.

The Saudi-led coalition had earlier accused the Houthis of targeting Makkah with a drone, saying Saudi air defenses destroyed it before it entered the city’s restricted airspace. The Houthis rejected the allegation as false.
