Iranian Attacks Cause $3.7 Billion in US Military Losses

Iranian missile and drone attacks on US military bases across the Middle East caused an estimated $3.7 billion in damage, including damage to 60 aircraft, according to a report by the US Defense Department’s inspector general.

CBS News released images on Tuesday (September 15) showing damage to US facilities, including Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia and Camp Buehring in Kuwait.

The images reportedly show damaged aircraft, buildings, barracks and other military infrastructure. Several active-duty US service members provided the images anonymously due to military media restrictions.

The inspector general’s report said Iranian attacks targeted US bases in Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Jordan.
